Attorney Bryan Somers

Attorney Bryan Somers

Bryan Somers brings a unique blend of military service, law enforcement experience, and legal training to his role as Of Counsel at MAXOUT Injury Lawyers. His journey into law began after a distinguished career serving both his country and his community.

Shortly after high school, Bryan joined the U.S. Army, where he served on both Active Duty and in the Army Reserve. He was stationed in Korea and at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and deployed multiple times to Kuwait, Iraq, and Cuba—first as a Cavalry Scout and later as an Intelligence Agent. His military experience shaped his disciplined approach to problem-solving and deepened his commitment to serving others.

After his time overseas, Bryan continued his service as a police officer with the Leesville Police Department, where he spent nearly six years, including time as a K9 handler. His time in law enforcement gave him firsthand insight into the challenges everyday people face—and strengthened his resolve to advocate for them through the legal system.

Bryan’s path to becoming an attorney was driven by his desire to make a broader impact. He earned his law degree from the Louisiana State University Law Center in Baton Rouge after completing his undergraduate studies in Public Administration with a Law Enforcement Emphasis at Upper Iowa University.

Born and raised in Central Florida, Bryan moved to Vernon Parish in 2001, where he met his wife, Jill. He likes to joke that the Army sent him to Fort Polk and issued him a family. Today, they have four daughters—Natalie, Katelyn, Hailey, and Ashlyn—who are the center of his world.

Bryan is passionate about helping people navigate difficult legal challenges with honesty, determination, and an unwavering focus on results. His life experiences—in combat zones, in squad cars, and in courtrooms—shape the grounded, no-nonsense representation he offers each client.

He is proud to serve the people of Vernon Parish and surrounding areas and brings the same work ethic and integrity that defined his military and law enforcement careers into every case he touches.
